Elina Laine is the supplier manager of Stockmann Plc responsible of developing the supplier program and supplier cooperation. Prior to this task she worked for two years as the program manager of Stockmann’s new distribution centre project. The distribution centre is located in Tuusula Finland, 29 000 m2 in size, and is highly automated. As the program manager Elina was responsible of planning, developing, testing and ramping up the centre. During her 10 years at Stockmann Elina has also worked as the logistics manager for the Finnish logistics operations. Before the Stockmann career Elina has worked for example at Mars Finland and Tamro.
In the Conference Elina will speak about how they went live with a new distribution centre with 100 employees, brand new warehouse management system, and new warehouse automation system. This is a major change. For Stockmann’s in-house logistics this changed everything: processes, ways of working, working times, teams, supervisors… In her speech Elina will tell how they prepared for the change, how they managed it, and did they survive.
