Susanne Madsen

She is the author of The Project Management Coaching Workbook (2012) and The Power of Project Leadership (2015). Prior to setting up her own business, she worked for 17 years leading large change programs of up to $30 million for organizations such as Standard Bank, Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase. As a fully qualified Corporate and Executive coach, Susanne now specializes in helping managers improve their leadership skills so that they can gain control of their projects and fast-track their career. Susanne will present Keynote: The Power of Project Leadership.

Patrick Furu

He has published internationally on topics such as leadership in jazz bands, knowledge creation and transfer in multinational companies, as well as on the role of the board of directors in medium-sized companies. Head of Department,Arts Management at the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland. He is also the Academic Director at Hanken & SSE Executive Education , as well as Professor at Hult International Business School (USA) and the former Director of the Hanken MBA Program. Patrick will play together with a live band on Keynote Jazz strategy – a way to inspire engaging leadership.

He is a few weeks away from attaining the top level in Toastmasters, the Distinguished Toastmaster award. As the head of the entire Nordic division last year, Neal led a diverse team to attaining the Presidents Distinguished award, the highest level possible. Neal will talk about Leading from the side, or how to be an impactful leader when you have no direct authority.

With over 25 years of experience as a leader and manager in various positions including entrepreneurship and new Staffan_Kurten_roundbusiness ventures,  Staffan has always thrived in what he calls “the people business”. Throughout his endeavors with public and private companies big and small, his ability to build trust and his energetic approach have earned him the respect and credibility his professional counseling is based upon. A certified ACC-coach (by International Coach Federation)  and author of several articles and books on self-leadership, Staffan has successfully carried out professional coaching assignments since 2005 in the areas of leadership development and change in a business context. Staffan will introduce us to “The art of coaching, or what essential coaching skills a project manager should master and how to develop them.

Ville-KarkiainenVille introduces himself as a Human Capital strategist with both line and management consulting experience, including functional leadership in multi-market environments, business operations & human change. Currently Director, Culture and Transformation Programs at Hay Group, Ville provides advisory services in the following fields: human change management, leadership transformation, top team development, group facilitation, program design, culture de-code, compensation & benefits, b2b sales & key account management. Prior to Hay Group, Ville worked as a HR Director for British American Tobacco with responsibilities across Sweden, Norway and Finland. Ville will talk about “The DNA of Innovation” a deep dive into the core principles of innovation and creative work.

Lars Häggström and Kirsi Seppäläinen

Kirsi-roundKirsi has successfully carried out managerial communications and sustainability positions with an international focus at Stora Enso, Metsä-Botnia, Uponor and Helvar Merca Group. Driven by challenges and transformation in multicultural environments, Kirsi played an active role in Stora Enso Pathbuilders’ programme (2012-2013) and is currently participating in Stora Enso’s Pathbreakers’ programme (2015). She is a member of Stora Enso’s Biomaterials division management team since March 2012.

Lars-roundLars is passionate about driving transformation of companies by focusing on leadership and culture. Currently Executive Vice President and member or Leadership team at Stora Enso, Lars previously occupied HR management positions in several large corporations (Nordea, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly & Co) in different parts of the world.

Lars and Kirsi will talk about Stora Enso’s journey of transformation, and how leadership for innovation is instrumental in re-thinking the company’s strategic direction.

Risto Sarvas

Pioneering service design at Futurice since 2011, Risto is an accomplished designer and an adjunct professor at AaltoRisto-round University School of Design and Technology, where he teaches the awarded Digital Service Design course while also being responsible for a course on Social Media. Risto’s latest work includes transforming the energy company Helen’s R&D into a customer driven activity, and co-curating an international photo exhibition with the Finnish Museum of Photography. The exhibition won the Service Design Achievement 2015 award in March.
Risto will present Lean Service Creation, a methodology which has made Futurice’s clients succeed in digital transformation. Risto’s presentation has a strong link to project management and includes a real life case study.
